Obituary of Phyllis Rita Bellerose

"Palmer- Phyllis R. (Bumpus) Bellerose, 74, of Diane St. died June 28, 2004 at Wing Memorial Hospital. Born June 3, 1930 in Boston, MA, she was the daughter of the late Everett and Marie (Biron) Bumpus. Phyllis grew up on Cape Cod and also lived in Southbridge until moving to Palmer in 1957. She was employed as an executive secretary at Tambrands for 26 years and was also a member of St. Thomas Church. Phyllis was predeceased by her husband Arthur G. Bellerose, Sr. in 1981. She is survived by her son Arthur Jr. and his wife Norma of Belchertown as well as her siblings Everett Bumpus, Jr. of Charlton, Janet Arns and Edith Corriveau both of Southbridge and Margret Robinson of Sturbridge. Phyllis also leaves her two grandsons Michael and Daniel as well as many nieces and nephews and their families. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her brother Allan in 1997. Funeral services will be held Friday at 9:15 a.m. from the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home, 1475 N. Main St. followed by a mass of Christian Liturgy at 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Church. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 2:00-4:00p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the charity of one’s choice. "
