Obituary of Carolyn Mary Bartlett

"Carolyn M. (Zeza) Bartlett, 81, passed away peacefully at home, Thursday, April 23, surrounded by her loving family. She now joins Patrick, her beloved husband friend and true love who predeceased her in 2004. Born in Willimansett, Oct. 10, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Mary (Duross) Zeza. She has lived in S. Hadley for 50 years. In her employment at South Hadley Post Office for 23 years, she came to be known as South Hadley's "First Lady", retiring in 1988. She supported her husband in his career as a boxing coach for the Holyoke Boys Club. She will be deeply missed by her children Bruce and his wife Judy of S. Hadley, Carol Beal of NC and Russell of Easthampton. She also leaves a sister Adelle Niles of IN, and five precious grandchildren and a great grandson. Besides her husband, her daughter Cheryl also predeceased her. Carolyn will be deeply missed by her entire family. The family gratefully acknowledges the loving care provided by all of her caregivers. A communicant of Mater Dolorosa Church, her mass will be celebrated on Monday, April 27 at 10:15 a.m. Family and friends may gather at the Beers and Story South Hadley Funeral Home, 646 Newton St. (Rt. 116) by 9:15 a.m. to process to church. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. For those wishing, donations may be made in her memory to Hospice Life Care, 113 Hampden Street, Holyoke, 01040. "
