Obituary of Ellen B. Karpowicz

" Ellen B. (Paul) Karpowicz, 83, of Benger Avenue, died Thursday at the Jewish Memorial Hospital in Roxbury. Born in Holyoke, Nov. 5, 1920, she is the daughter of the late Louis and Helen (Waters) Paul and lived in S. Hadley for 51 years. She was a bookkeeper for the Darcy Company before retiring in 1984, and was a communicant of St. Theresa’s Church. Mrs. Karpowicz was predeceased by her husband John S. Karpowicz in 1977. She is survived by a son John, Jr. and his wife Denise of Auburn, two daughters Sandra A. Little and her husband Cameron of Dracut, and Karen Murphy and her husband Robert of Cohasset, along with a brother Vincent Paul of Willamansett. She also leaves seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. A funeral service will be Monday, June 28 at 9:00 a.m. from the Beers & Story S. Hadley Funeral Home, 646 Newton Street, (Rte. 116), followed by a mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. Theresa’s Church. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery.
