Obituary of Homer Charles Denniss

"Homer C. Denniss, 91, of Springfield St., passed away April 20, 2009 at Umass Memorial Hospital. Born in Utica, NY on April 13, 1918, he was the son of the late Harry G. and Charlotte (Georgens) Denniss and has lived in Wilbraham since 1960. He was a member of St. Paul's Universalist Church in Palmer and served his country during WWII in the U.S. Air force. Homer retired from Holyoke Card and Paper Company in 1982 after 29 years. He was predeceased by his wife of 62 years, Mary (Tierney) Denniss and is survived by his daughter Jane Alois and her husband Arthur of Monson and a son, James T. Denniss of Wilbraham. He also leaves one granddaughter Katherine Alois and great grandson Jackson. A memorial service will be Saturday, May 2 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Universalist Church. Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. The family requests that donations be made in his memory to St. Paul's Universalist Church, 1060 Central St., Palmer, MA 01069. "
