Obituary of Walter J. Perreault

"Walter J. Perreault, Jr., 75, formerly of Belchertown and Holyoke, died Saturday in Cape Cod Hospital. Born in Holyoke, October 31, 1928, he was the son of the late Walter, Sr., and Cora (Fournier) Perreault. Mr. Perreault spent most of his life in Holyoke and lived briefly in Belchertown before moving to Hyannis six years ago. He was the owner of the former Amoco Gas Station at Five Corners in Granby for 18 years, and then worked as a supervisor at James River Graphics in S. Hadley for 12 years before retiring in 1989. He was a communicant of St. Francis Church in Belchertown and a member of its Knights of Columbus Council. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 54 years, Gloria (Bolduc) Perreault, his daughter Suzanne Salvas and her husband Edward of Westfield, a son Marc and his wife Evelyn (Matyszczyk) Perreault of Pelham, along with his sister Claire Collins, and brother Robert both of Chicopee, as well as his brother Norman and his wife Lorraine of Holyoke. He also leaves his five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by a sister Doris Hetu. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home, 10 Maple St., (Rte 202. Funeral services will be Wednesday starting at 9:00 a.m. from the funeral home followed by a liturgy of Christian burial at 10:00 a.m in St. Francis Church. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. Donations may be made in his memory to either St. Francis Church Building Fund, 10 Park St, Belchertown, or American Cancer Society, 31 Capital Drive, W. Springfield, 01089. "
