Obituary of Paul D. Marotte

"Wales- Paul D. Marotte, 49, of Union Rd. died June 6, 2004 at Ludlow Health South. Born in Fall River, MA, January 1, 1955, he was the son of the late Marcel and Alice (Turcotte) Marotte. He has lived in Wales for 18 years, previously of Raynham, MA. Paul was part of the 101st Airborne Division in the U.S. Army and served in Panama and a member of the American Legion Post130 in Palmer and the DAV. He was self-employed in his own painting business and later employed at the Palmer House of Fine Jewelry until his health disabled him. He leaves his fiancée of 18 years, Susan Theriault with whom he lived, two daughters Amie Marotte and her son Damon LeBlanc of Worcester and Janelle Marotte of Brookfield. Paul is also survived by two brothers, Robert and his wife Debbie of Raynham, MA, and Normand and his wife Sue of Taunton, MA, god daughter Melissa Marotte, 8 nieces and nephews, many cousins, aunts and uncles. He was predeceased by his parents in 2003, and the mother of his children Christine (Roos) in 1995. In January of 1994, Paul’s brother Normand gave him the gift of life by donating his kidney, allowing Paul the time to see his children grow. Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 2-4, and 7-9 p.m. at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at a later date at St. Anne's Church in Raynham, MA. Donations may be made in his memory to the Disabled American Veterans, Veterans’ Affairs, Kidney Association, Diabetes Research, or Harrington Hospital. "
