Obituary of Lenore Gewinner

"Lenore Gewinner, 65, died Tuesday at Willimansett Nursing Home. Born in Springfield, March 29, 1944, she grew up in Chicopee and has lived in South Hadley since 2003. She had been a detective with the Atwood Detective Agency in W. Springfield before retiring. She was a member of the Third Order Dominicans. Besides her parents, her first husband William Foster and second husband Robert H. Gewinner preceded her in death, along with a son Jason S. Foster and a sister June Labell. She is survived by 4 children Matthew S. Foster of Chicopee, Barbara Nomaceo of Ware, Diane H. Foster of Springfield and Lacey Foster of Granby. She also leaves 9 siblings, Raymond Langlais, Lucy Laporte, Richard and Raymond Smith, Carol Langlais all of Chicopee, Betty Langlais of W. Springfield, Christine Rivet of Springfield, David Smith of Granby and Janie Silva of Agawam, as well as 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday, April 3 from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. at the Beers & Story S. Hadley Funeral Home, 646 Newton St., (Rte. 116) followed by a mass at 11:30 a.m. at St. George Church in Chicopee. Burial is in St. Rose Cemetery, S. Hadley. For those wishing donations may be made to a hospice of your choice. "
