Obituary of Irene C. Skomro

"Palmer-Irene C. Skomro, 78, of Walnut St., passed away March 30, 2009 at her home. She was born in Palmer on September 7, 1930, daughter of the late Leon and Catherine Wesilycian. Irene lived in Monson for many years and resided in Palmer most recently. She was a communicant of St. Thomas Church and retired from Jarvis. Irene enjoyed listening to gospel and had a wonderful heart. She was predeceased by her husband Theodore in 1998 and leaves her children Diane Guess and her husband Leonard, and her son Paul of Monson along with two grandchildren Marla Sanabria and her husband Elias and Nathan Solomon of Delaware. Irene will also be missed by her dear friend Gloria Brouillette and cousin Barbara Miskiewice. Visitation will be held Thursday from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. at St. Thomas Church. Burial will follow in Bethany Cemetery. Donations may be made in her memory to Multiple Sclerosis. "
