Obituary of Carole A. Cournoyer

"Granby-Carole A. (Baker) Cournoyer, 53, of Amherst Rd. passed away March 8, 2009 at home with her family by her side. Born February 13, 1956 in Montague, MA, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Louise (Sullivan) Baker. Carole has lived in Granby for the past 22 years, previously residing in Holyoke. She graduated from Greenfield High School and for the past 8 years has worked at Mt. Holyoke College as a custodian. Carole loved lighthouses and enjoyed time spent on the Cape. She will be greatly missed by her husband of 34 years, Jacques, along with her two children Kellie Cournoyer and her husband Steven Cronk, Jacques, Jr. and a beloved grandson Garrett David Cronk all of Granby. Carole also leaves her siblings Patricia Sheridan of E.Greenfield, Linda Rydzak of Holyoke, James Baker of Deerfield, Kathleen Couture of FL, and Daniel Baker of Deerfield. She was predeceased by her brother Edward Baker. Her friends, extended family, and dear, longtime friend Debbie Frady will always remember her. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the Beers & Story S.Hadley Funeral Home, 646 Newton St., (Rte 116). A memorial service will follow Thursday at 10:00 a.m.at the funeral home with burial in West Cemetery.
