Obituary of Edith Louise Lemon

"Rutland-Edith Louise (Atwood) Lemon, 95, of Charnock Hill Rd., passed away March 7, 2009 at Holden Nursing Home. Edith has lived in Rutland since 1987 and was born and raised in Belchertown on October 8, 1913, daughter of the late Benjamin and Naomi (Francis) Atwood. Edith worked as a bookkeeper and cashier at Fortin's Market in Worcester for 40 years. She was predeceased by her husband Bernard in 1988 and is survived by her son Eugene and his wife Diane of Rutland. Edith will also be missed by her 5 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 10 great great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held in the spring at Mt. Hope Cemetery. Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. "
