Obituary of Richard R. Dane

"Richard R. Dane, 85, of Beacon Dr. died on February 26, 2009 at Lifecare Center in Wilbraham. He was born December 21, 1923 in Palmer, MA, son of the late Henry and Florence (Yeddo) Dane. Richard was a life long resident of Palmer and served his country during WWII in the U.S. Navy. He was a communicant of St. Thomas Church, former District Deputy and Fourth degree Knight of Columbus Council 376, a member of the American Legion, a member of the Fleet Reserve Association and past president of Palmer Lions Club. Richard worked as a printer for Wright's in W. Warren for 20 years. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Jean (Marcy) Dane of Palmer, MA, his daughter Debra Larzazs and her husband Gary of Palmer along with 2 grandchildren, Michael and Michelle Larzazs. Richard was predeceased by his brother Warren "Bill" Dane. Services will be held at St Thomas Church, March 3, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, Agawam, MA. Calling hours will be Monday from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home.
