Obituary of Mary Marjorie Reim

"Palmer, Mary Marjorie (Keegan) Reim of 1038 Thorndike Street, Palmer, was called safely home on February 16, 2009 after a long illness, surrounded by her beloved children. Born on August 14, 1923 in New London, Connecticut, she was the daughter of the late Francis E. and Agnes Catherine (Sullivan) Keegan. "Marge" grew up in New London, CT., and then Windsor, VT., before moving to Palmer in 1939. She attended Palmer High School where she met her beloved husband, Francis "Franny" Reim, who predeceased her in 1995. At the time of his death, they had been married for 45 years. Marge worked at the Colorado Fuel & Iron Co. in Palmer for 9 years, and later worked at Pathfinder Vocational High School for many years. She was a communicant of St. Thomas the Apostle Church and a member of its Rosary Sodality. She leaves her two sons, Daniel F. Reim and his wife, Christine, of Palmer, and David O. Reim and his wife, Courtney, of Enfield, CT., and her two daughters, Ellen M. Noonan and her husband, Edward, of Wilbraham, and Christine A. Papesh and her husband, Terry, of Palmer. She leaves nine grandchildren: Timothy Reim, Kevin Reim, Erin Venneri, Shelly Letendre, Ryan Fontaine, Meggan Reim, Kaitlyn Reim, Keegan Reim and Reilley Jane Reim. She also leaves five great-grandchildren: Nathan Letendre, Jack Letendre, Donovan Reim, Paige Venneri and Trevor Reim. She was predeceased by her three brothers, Frank E. Keegan, Donald K. Keegan and Robert J. Keegan. Calling Hours are Wednesday, February 18 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m.at Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home, 1475 N. Main St., (Rte. 20). Services begin from the funeral home on Thursday, February 19 at 9:15 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle with Christian burial at St. Thomas Cemetery, Thorndike St., Palmer MA, For those wishing, donations may be made in her memory to the Open Pantry, 287 State Street, P.O.
