Obituary of Julia E. Lamson

" Julia E.(Garrow) Lamson, 89, former long time resident of Belchertown, died peacefully on February 18 at Amherst Center for Extended Care. Born in Bolton, VT, March 30, 1914, she grew up in Vermont before moving to Belchertown many years ago. Mrs. Lamson was a licensed practical nurse for nearly 40 years. During her career she worked at Worcester State Hospital and Buckley Nursing Home in Holyoke, as well as providing home care for people in the Northampton and Amherst Areas. Julia was predeceased by her husband, Guy Lamson in 1990. She is survived by a daughter Linda Roberts of Ludlow, along with 5 granddaughters, Shireen Van Hoy, Renee Kennedy, Glynda Jenks, and Brooke and Erica Roberts, as well as 8 great grandchildren. A funeral service will be Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in the Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home, followed by burial in South Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. "
