Obituary of Anita Elizabeth Sulewski

" Belchertown – Anita E. (Arsenault) Sulewski, 80, of Chauncey Walker St., died February 15, 2004 in Mary Lane Hospital surrounded by her family. Born on Feb. 25, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Pascal and Angeline (Chenette) Arsenault. Anita was born and raised in S. Hadley and had lived in Holyoke prior to moving to Belchertown in1953. She retired in 1983 from the Belchertown School Department, where she worked in the cafeteria for over 15 years. Anita was a communicant of St. Francis Church. She enjoyed going to the casino, playing bingo, gardening and bird watching at her home. She was predeceased by her husband Stanley A. Sulewski, Sr. in 1977 as well as a son Stanley, Jr. in 1989. Anita is survived by a daughter Audrey E. Bisnette of Three Rivers 3 sons Denis of Winchendon, MA, Philip of Ft. Lauderdale, Fl and Patrick of Cummington, MA. She also leaves 3 sisters Pricilla Siefert of Pittsburgh, PA, Doris Gregory of Flint, MI and Angela Grey of VT, and 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be Friday at 9:15am from the BEERS & STORY BELCHERTOWN FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Mass at 10:00am in St. Francis Church. Burial is in South Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday from 5-8:00 PM. Contributions may be made in her memory to St. Francis Church Building Fund 10 Park St., Belchertown, MA 01007."
