Obituary of Doris L. Constantino

"Wilbraham-Doris L. (French) Constantino, 89, of Stony Hill Rd., passed away January 21, 2009 at Umass Memorial. Born March 3, 1919 in Stafford Springs, CT, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Flora (Vine) French. Doris has lived in Wilbraham for the past 26 years, previously residing in Three Rivers and Monson. After her retirement from American Standard, she volunteered as an administrative assistant for 23 years at the Monson Housing Authority with her daughter Donna. She enjoyed flowers and watching her birds, reading, music and dancing but her greatest love was her family. She was predeceased by her husband Anthony J. Constantino in 1983, along with her longtime companion in 2007, Milton Dash with whom she lived. Doris will be greatly missed and eternally loved by her daughter Donna Gilman and her husband Thomas of Monson, along with a daughter-in-law Linda Constantino of Bondsville, and siblings Ida and her husband Rick, Lillian, William and Adnah. "Grammie" leaves 5 grandchildren, Michael, Kelley, Ronald Jr., Tina, and Pamela and 5 adored great grandchildren, Kyle, Karlee, Caitlyn, Chad, and baby Elliot, who will miss their "Gigi," along with the family of Milton Dash. Doris was also predeceased by her only son, Ronald A. Constantino in 1998. All services will be privately held at the convenience of the family at Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home and burial will be at a later date. Donations may be made to Belchertown Recreation Gift Account for the Ron Constantino Field, Town of Belchertown, MA 01007. "
