Obituary of Arlene J. Goodrow

"Belchertown, Arlene J. (Domingue) Goodrow, 88, of Chauncey Walker St., died January 21, 2009 at home. She was born May 14, 1920 in Chicopee, MA, daughter of Alphonse and Alice (Lapierre) Domingue. She was raised in Holyoke and moved to Belchertown in 1951 and was a communicant of St. Francis Church. Arlene worked as an attendant for the former Belchertown State School for 20 years, retiring in 1982. She is survived by four children, Joan Whitehead (Tom) of FL, Howard (Doris) of Belchertown, Frances Lundwall (Walt) of SC and Steven (Eileen) of Belchertown and a sister Jean Domingue of Belchertown. She will also be missed by 9 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter. Arlene was preceded in death by her husband, Francis E. Goodrow in 2003. A Funeral Services will be held Monday at 9:15 a.m. from the Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home, followed by a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. Francis Church. Interment will follow in the Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday from 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM.
