Obituary of Eleanor Mary Gagnon

"Eleanor M. (Jacques) Gagnon, 86, of Flynt St., died Monday, Jan. 12 at UMASS Medical Center. Born in the Aldenville section of Chicopee, Nov. 8, 1917, she lived most of her life in W. Warren, briefly in Windor, CT, and then moved to Palmer in 1991. Dduring WWII, Eleanor was quite proud of her supervisory postition at the William E. Wright Co. in the parachute department. she also worked as a seamstress at the former Mardel's in W. Warren. Eleanor spent many years as an independent sales person for Dutchmaid Clothing and Avon. Mrs. Gagnon was predeceased by her first husband Henry L. Cook in 1968, and her second husband NOrbert A. Gagnon in 1991. She will be sadly missed by her son Richard L. Cook of Palmer, and her daughter Marjorie E. Gagnon of W. Warren. She also leaves two sisters Prisceilla St. Cyr of W. Warren and Doris Roy of Chicopee along with her five cherished grandchilldre, Mary E. Harder, Michael A. and Christopher L. Gagnon, and Chelsea E. and Molly M. Cook. A calling hour for Mrs. Gagnon will be Thursday from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. at theBeers & Story palmer Funeral Home, 1475 N. Main St., (Rte 20)followed by a mass at 11:00 in St. Thomas Church, Palmer. Burial will be in the spring inSt. Paul's Cemtery, Warren. Donations may be made to the Arthritis Foundation, 29 Craft St, Suite 450, Newton, MA 02158. "
