Obituary of Agnes Varjabedian

"Palmer, Agnes (Kellerian) Varjabedian, 88, of Knox Street died Saturday, December 20 at Palmer House. Born in Izmir, Turkey, March 7, 1920, she has lived in Palmer since 1925. She owned Palmer Beauty Shop for over 30 years. She was a member of St. Mark's Armenian Church and its Ladies Guild. Mrs. Varjabedian was also a former member of Club 55, Palmer Senior Center and the American Legion Auxiliary and the former President of Palmer Historical Society. Predeceased by her husband Hovhannes in 1983, she will be deeply missed by her son Garabed "Gary"and his wife Marylou of Framingham, along with her daughter Sourpouhie "Suzie" with whom she lived. She also leaves her siblings Helen Daiyan and Louis Kellerian. Besides her parents and husband, her sister Marie Dikranian preceded her in death. Funeral services will take place Tuesday, December 30 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mark's Armenian Church, 2427 Wilbraham Rd., Springfield, followed by burial in Oak Knoll Cemetery, Palmer. Calling hours will be Monday, December 29th from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. with an Armenian ritual at 7:00 p.m. For In lieu of flowers please make donations in her memory to St. Mark's Armenian Church.
