Obituary of Joshua David Burke

"Granby-Joshua David Burke was born December 12, 1985 in Sierra Vista, AZ. Joshua passed on July 27, 2012 as the result of a tragic motorcycle accident in Chicopee on Chicopee St. He was an employee of Ray Croteau Electric. Working towards his Journeyman license, he was currently enrolled in school for his apprentice license. He previously worked for Ace Roofing. Joshua was a hard working young man and he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman, enjoying nature and time with his dog Princess hiking, camping and sitting by the campfire chillin with his friends and brothers. He leaves behind his loving parents, Karen Lefebvre of Belchertown, Sean and Carrie Burke of Granby, his brothers, Shayne Burke, Austin Wilson of Springfield, Jeremy Seaha and his only sister Gabrielle Wilson of Westfield. He also is survived by Jaecob Harvey, girlfriend Haley Destromp, grandparents Alfreda Lefebvre, Annette Burke, Peter and Mary Beth Seaha, Sally and Bob Lepage along with aunts, uncles, cousins and many, many friends. He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather Norman F. Lefebvre and paternal grandfather Edward J. Burke. We will greatly miss his genuine, golden smile and beautiful blue eyes and the love he had for those he loved. RIP my son. Love, Momma. You will be greatly missed. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the Beers & Story S.Hadley Funeral Home, 646 Newton St. (RTE 116) followed by a mass on Friday at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. Friends and family may gather at the funeral home at 9:00 a.m. Burial will be Tuesday Aug. 7th at 10:00 a.m. at West Cemetery. For those wishing, donations may be made in his memory to the family toward purchasing his headstone. A Celebration of Life Benefit will be held at Dufresne Park in Granby on Sunday, August 12 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Ticket/donation request is $20 and BYOB as alcohol will not be served."
