Obituary of Ronald William Sisco

" Brimfield, Ronald W. Sisco, 62, of Palmer Road died Sunday, November 16, surrounded by his family, after a long battle with cancer, heart disease and diabetes. Born in Tyconderoga, NY, October 3, 1941, he was the son of the late William G. and Hazel (Hurlburt) Sisco. Mr. Sisco grew up in Springfield and lived there many years before moving to Brimfield in 1987. He served three years in the Army, serving one year in Korea following the war. Mr. Sisco was a truck driver for various trucking companies in the area before retiring in 1987 due to his disability. In his leisure, besides his family, Ron loved yard projects, automobiles, his pets and especially his dog Jake. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 37 years, Marie (Cortelli) Sisco, a son Ronald, Jr. and his wife, Toni of Springfield, his daughter Vikki Godet and her fiance, John Mortimer of Holland along with his sister Beverly Dupuis of Springfield. He also leaves 5 precious grandchildren and his caring brothers in laws, John and David Cortelli. Calling hours are Thursday from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home. A service of remembrance will be held Friday, November 21 at 10:00 a.m. in the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home, 1475 N. Main St, (Rte 20) with committal services to follow with military honors at Oak Grove Cemetery, Springfield. Donations may be made in his memory to either Monson Small Animal Clinic, Palmer Road, Monson, 01057 or Shriner’s Hospital for Crippled Children, 516 Carew St., Springfield, MA 01104 "
