Obituary of Margo E. O'Connor

"Margo Eunice (Viamari) O'Connor, 61, of Mason St., died Friday, November 14 after a lengthy illness. Born in Holyoke, July 21, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Doris (Mandeville) Viamari. Margo grew up in Chicopee and lived for a time in South Hadley, before moving to Palmer in 1986. She worked as a hostess and waitress for 25 years at Abdow's Restaurant in Chicopee before retiring in 1990. Margo loved the outdoors, and spent some of her leisure time hiking and bicycling. She was also a wonderful cook, and was known for her spaghetti sauce. She will be deeply missed by her husband of 17 years, Jerome B. O'Connor, along with her son Kevin R. Lapierre of Sugarland, TX, her daughter Sharon A. Howland of Sturbridge, and her two stepsons John J. O'Connor of Astoria, NY, and Matthew M. O'Connor of Palmer. She is also survived by a brother Joseph Viamari of Chicopee and her six cherished grandchildren. There will be a Celebration of Life Ceremony at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 18 at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home, 1475 N. Main St, (Rte 20). Friends are invited to pay respects to the family on Tuesday evening prior to the service from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Donations may be made to the Alzheimers' Disease Assoc., P.O.
