Obituary of Madelyn C. Masson

" Madelyn C. (Fulton) Masson, 89 of Central St., died Nov. 6, 2003 at Wing Memorial Hospital. Born in the Three Rivers section of Palmer on May 15, 1914, she was the daughter of the late Hugh and Annie (Cole) Fulton. Madelyn lived in Three Rivers until 1952, before moving to Palmer. She worked at Tambrands in Three Rivers. Madelyn was also a member of St. Paul’s Universalist Unitarian Church in Palmer and very much enjoyed the church choir. Madelyn was a member of the Ladies Social Union of St. Paul's Church. She also enjoyed many summers in Maine with her family. Predeceased by her husband Joseph H. “Chief” Masson in 1953, she is survived by her two nieces and caregivers, Barbara Windoloski of Chicopee and Bonny Rathbone of Palmer as well as two great nephews, Peter Hawthorne, Bryan Rathbone and three great nieces, Kelli Leblanc, Kristin Rathbone, Kaitlin Rathbone, one great, great nephew, Alexander Leblanc, and one great great niece, Abigail Rathbone. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by two sisters Myrtle Fulton (1993), Evelyn McLean (1992), a brother Melvin “Andy” Fulton (1988), a niece Laurie McLean Pierce (1981), and a great nephew Jeffrey Pierce. Funeral services will be held Saturday Nov. 15 at St. Paul’s Universalist Unitarian Church at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Four Corners Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Friday Nov. 14 from 3-5 and 7-9p.m. Donations may be made to either St. Paul’s Universalist Unitarian Church, 1060 Central St., Palmer, MA 01069 or to Quaboag Valley VNA and Hospice, 103 Fairview St., Palmer, MA 01069.
