Obituary of Helen C. Sutty

" Brimfield- Helen C. (Mullen) Sutty, 84, of Sunnydale Cir. Died Oct. 24, 2003 at Life Care Center of Wilbraham. Born in Chicago, IL, September 8, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Malloy) Mullen. Helen worked at the General Electric Company for 43 years and retired in 1986. She has lived in Brimfield for the past 17 years, previously residing in Lenox and Pittsfield. Mrs. Sutty was a general class Amateur Radio operator, call sign KA1DQI and was part of Mt. Tom Amateur Repeater Association. She enjoyed astronomy, yoga and computers. Helen was predeceased by her husband Leo Sutty in 1976. She leaves a nephew James and his wife Ann Mullen of Brimfield, and their children Amy and Daniel Mullen, as well as a sister-in-law Loretta Mullen of Feeding Hills, MA. Helen was predeceased by her only brother Joseph Mullen in 1996. She will also be missed greatly by her four cats. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 1-3 p.m. with a service of Remembrance at 3 p.m. at Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home. Burial will be Monday at 12 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Pittsfield, MA. The family has asked that donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 31 Capital Dr., W.Springfield, MA 01089 "
