Obituary of James Michael Gagne

" James M. "Cricket" Gagne, 38, of Old Sturbridge Rd, died Thursday at Harrington Memorial after a couragious battle with cancer. Born in Worcester, December 9, 1964, he was the son of Louis and Rhea (Lapierre) Gagne of Spencer. Cricket grew up in Spencer and was a graduate of David Prouty High School. He moved to Southbridge two years ago. He worked as an oil burner technician all of his life, first in the family business, the former Gagne Burner Service in Spencer, and for the past year for C.K. Smith in Worcester. Cricket was a jokester, and a family man, he loved wolves and the History Channel. He will be sadly missed by his parents, along with his wife, Lori (Deyo) Gagne, and his son Ryan at home. He also leaves two brothers Louis, Jr. of Templeton and Peter of N. Brookfield, along with four sisters Patricia Gagne of Charlton, Laurie Gagne and Jean Normandin both of Spencer and Cheryl Chesson of E. Brookfield. He also leaves many nieces and nephews and his in-laws, James and Marion Deyo of Palmer. There will be a celebration of his life on Monday, October 13 at 11:00 a.m. at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home, 1475 N. Main St, (Rte 20). Calling hours will be Sunday from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Please omit flowers and make donations in him memory to Harrington Memorial Hospital in Southbridge in gratitude for the wonderful care he received during his illness. "
