Obituary of Ralph B. Wilson

"Belchertown, Ralph B. Wilson, 69, of Chauncey Walker ST., died Monday, November 3 at Baystate Medical Center. Born in Springfield, MA, June 12, 1939, he was the son of the late Richard L. and Arlene H. (Ramey) Wilson. Ralph lived in E. Longmeadow before moving to Belchertown in 1976. A proud Navy veteran, Ralph served 20 years in the military, retiring in 1976 as Data Systems Master Chief. Ralph served two tours in Vietnam. He received his Bachelor's degree from Chaminade College of Honolulu. Following his military retirement, he worked for various companies, including Cutchins Program for Children and Families where he worked from 1993 – 2005. Most recently, he worked at Valley Commercial Appliance in Orange, a company owned and operated by his son. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 45 years, Carole (Blood) Wilson, 3 sons, Richard L. and his wife Linda of Orange, Duane E. and his wife Phyllis of Ware, and Robert D. and his wife Alicia of Freeport, ME. He also leaves his 9 precious grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, a sister Carolyn Bond of Springfield and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, a sister Shirley Brown preceded him in death. A private service with military honors was held at Oak Grove Cemetery, Springfield. Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
