Obituary of Robert J. Coupal

"Palmer- Robert J. Coupal, 56, of Main St. in Three Rivers, passed away October 28 at home with his family by his side. Born May 1, 1952 in St. Albans, VT, he was the son of the late Roghel and Jeannette (Plouffe) Coupal. Robert has lived in the Palmer area since 1978 and was a communicant of St. Anne's Church. During Vietnam, Robert was stationed in Germany in the U.S. Army. He was a truck driver for Freedman in Springfield and retired from the Palmer Fire Department in 1996 after 15 years. He formerly worked at Pierson's and Jarvis and Jarvis. Robert will be greatly missed by his wife Marian (Tavernier), and his son Joseph of Palmer. He also leaves a brother Real and his wife Thelma of Massena, NY, and sister Simonne and her husband Roger Brousseau of Enosburg Falls, VT. Robert was predeceased by his brother Emil in 1969. Visitation will be held Friday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home. Friends and family may gather Saturday at 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home to process to St. Anne's Church for a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Lung Association, 393 Maple St., Springfield, MA. "
