Obituary of Si Choon Lee

"Belchertown, Si Choon Lee, 48, of Metacomet Street died suddenly Sunday, October 26 at his home. Born in S. Korea, August 6, 1960, he was the son of Byung Ho and Ok Soon Lee of Belchertown. Si grew up in Holyoke and was a graduate of Holyoke High School. He has lived in Belchertown since 2001, previously living in Ohio and Illinois. He obtained his BS, MS and PhD. degrees from Northwestern University in the field of mechanical engineering. He was previously a professor at Ohio State University and most recently worked as a consultant for a start up vitamin supplement company. He was an active member of the Maple Ridge Church in Sunderland. Besides his parents, Si is survived by a son Michael of Chicago, IL, a brother Hong S. Lee of Windsor, CT and two sisters Mia Lee of New York City, and Erica Lee of Busan, S. Korea, along with many nieces and nephews. A funeral service to honor his life will be Thursday, October 30 at 11:00 a.m. at the Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home, 10 Maple St., (Rte.202) followed by burial in Lake Vale Cemetery, Belchertown.
