Obituary of Patricia Jean Baldini-Pazsak

" Patticia J. (Mordy) Baldini-Pazsak of Alvord Place, died Wednesday, Aug. 6 at her home after a long illness. Born in Dublin, Ireland, April 9, 1926, she was educated there and came to the United States in 1945. She lived in Springfield and Feeding Hills before moving to South Hadley in 1994. For many years Patricia worked at the former Forbes & Wallace Store as a clerk in the hat department. She also modeled hats on Channel 22 as part of her responsibility there. She worked for a time in the bridal shop at Steiger’s. Mrs. Pazsak concluded her career as the executive assistant at the Springfield Association of Realtors in 1992 after 30 years of service , and was affiliated with St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Springfield . After her diagnosis with cancer in 1991, Patricia spent many years as a volunteer for the American Cancer Society’s Reach to Recovery program. and served on the Planning Committee of its We Can Weekend. She also volunteered at Mercy Hospital Emergency Room. Patricia was very creative and loved crafts and could be found with her good friend, Gladys, at every craft fair in the area. Among her joys was oil painting, seasonal wreaths, and an extensive teddy bear collection. She will be sadly missed by her husband of 20 years, David O. Pazsak, two sons, Richard Baldini of Epsom, NH and Kevin Baldini of S. Hadley, along with a daughter Gail Allen of Chicopee. She is also survived by a brother Colin Mordy of Keynsham, England along with 5 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 10 at 2:00 p.m. in the Beers & Story South Hadley Funeral Home 646 Newton St, (Rte. 116). Burial will take place at a later date.
