Obituary of Anthony Robinson

"Ware- Anthony Robinson, Sr., 66, of Hardwick Pond Rd., passed away October 11, 2008 at the VA Hospital in Leeds after a courageous battle with cancer. Born February 24, 1942 in Ware, MA, he was the son of the late Edward and Lillian (Mercure) Robinson. Anthony was born and raised in Ware and returned there in 2003 after residing in Athol. He served his country in the U.S. Army during Vietnam and retired from Rodney Hunt Foundry in Orange. He is survived by his children, Tonianna Currier, Anthony Robinson, Jr. and Tamara Robinson all of Maine along with his siblings Lillian Gorski of Gilbertville, Mary Balcom of South Hadley, Blanche Carlson of Ware with whom he lived, Edward of Orange, Robert of Sandersfield, MA, and William of ME. He also leaves 4 grandchildren Taira, Christian, George, III and Angeline Currier Peters all of ME along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Anthony was predeceased by his sister Margaret and brother Joseph Robinson. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 10-11:00 a.m. at the Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home, 10 Maple St. (Rte 202) followed by a service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be held at a later date at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Belchertown. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Quaboag Valley Hospice. "
