Obituary of Suzanne L. Ponton

"Granby – Suzanne L. (Levreault) Ponton, 71, of Batchelor St., died September 14, 2008 at Willimansett East Nursing Center. Born November 8, 1936, in Holyoke, MA, she was the daughter of the late Lucien and Lillian (Langua) Levreault. Suzanne was raised in Willimansett and graduated from Chicopee High in 1954, she has resided in Granby since 1984. She retired in 1999 after working for 31 years for Big Y Foods as a receiver. She is survived by her husband of 26 years Roger Ponton, a daughter Christine Ichton and her husband Stephen of Chicopee and a stepson David Ponton of Lake City, FL. She also leaves a sister Gloria Golemo of Chicopee, four grandchildren Abby and Beau Hurlburt and Ian and Kimberly Serwanski and two great granddaughters Evelynn and Laila. She was predeceased by a daughter Kathleen Hurlburt in 2000. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at the Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home. Calling hours will precede the service from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Donations may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society"
