Obituary of Mary Dunbar

"St. Petersburg, Fl, Mary (Story) Dunbar, 84, died May 27 at St. Anthony's Hospital. Born in Belchertown, June 6, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Alice (Nutting) Story. Mary lived in Belchertown for many years before making her retirement home in St. Petersburg. She had been a member of Mt. Vernon Lodge and was Past Matron of the Order of Eastern Star in Belchertown. She worked for many years in the food service department at Cold Spring School in Belchertown prior to retiring. Her husband Donald died in 2002. She will be deeply missed by her two daughters Lynn Houston and her husband Larry of Ashby, MA and Sandi Dunbar of Belchertown. She also leaves two grandchildren William Zobka, Jr. of Belchertown and Story Lynn Vlahos of Salem, NH, a great granddaughter Evelyn Vlahos, along with her sisters Janice Stone Durham and Patricia Bronner, both of St. Petersburg. Her brother in law Arthur Page and sister in law Elizabeth Story also survive her. Besides her parents and husband, a brother Herbert Story, Jr. and a sister Virginia Page preceded her in death. A memorial service with pictorial tribute will be held Saturday, June 14 at 12:00 p.m. at the Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home. Calling hours will precede the service from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. For those wishing donations may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society. "
