Obituary of Mary R. Sugrue

"Palmer, Mary R. A. (Rougeau) Sugrue, 97, formerly of Fletcher St., died Tuesday at Wingate at Wilbraham. Born in Adams, May 19, 1910, she lived for many years in Adams and Brooklyn, NY before moving to the Palmer area in 1979. Mary was a communicant of Sts. Peter & Paul Church. She was a store manager while she lived in New York. Her husband James R. Sugrue died in 1948, along with a son Robert J. in 2000. She will be missed by her sons James R. and his wife Barbara of Ashville, NC and John and his wife Carol of Three Rivers, as well as 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She also leaves a sister Rita Cardinal of Adams, MA and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Saturday, May 3 at 9:00 a.m. from the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home, followed by a mass at 10:00 a.m. in Sts. Peter & Paul Church. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
