Obituary of Helen Kwasniewski

"Helen (Pietras) Kwasniewski, 84, of River St., died Tuesday at Mary Lane Hospital. Born in Belchertown, October 17, 1923, she was the daughter of the late John and Rose (Przybylski) Pietras and was a lifelong resident of the Bondsville and Belchertown area. She worked at the Palmer Nursing Home, White Aircraft and also at the former Belchertown State School before retiring. A communicant of Sts. Peter & Paul Church, Helen also enjoyed her crafts and vegetable garden. Predeceased by her husband Stephen in 2001, she will be deeply missed by her son Stephen and his wife Doris of Palmer and her daughter Janet Austin with whom she lived. She also leaves a grandson Stephen R. and his wife Laura of Wardsboro, VT and a great grandson, Luke. She was also predeceased by a son in law, William F. Austin in 1981. Funeral services will be Friday, May 2 at 9:00 a.m. from the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home followed by a mass at 10:00 a.m. in Sts. Peter & Paul Church. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
