Obituary of Bernice I. Lagrant

"Belchertown-Bernice I. (Krol) Lagrant, 84, of Franklin St., passed away April 16, 2008 at Wing Memorial Hospital. Born August 18, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Mary Krol. Bernice has been a life long resident of Belchertown and a communicant of St. Francis Church. She previously worked at Tambrands and a hat shop in Three Rivers before her last employment at Specialty Brush. Bernice was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan and enjoyed cooking, shopping and deer hunting with her husband. She will be greatly missed by her husband of 59 years, Raymond Sr. along with her daughter Linda Cyr of Ware, her son Raymond Jr. of Gilbertville and grandchildren Reginald Lagrant, Andrew Close and Terry Dryer. Bernice also leaves one great grandson and her sister Anna Stefanowich. She was predeceased by four siblings as well as her grandson Raymond III. Funeral services will begin Monday at 9:15 a.m. from the Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis Church. Burial will be in South Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. For those wishing, donations may be made in the name of St. Anthony to your local parish. "
