Obituary of Evelyn A. Bates

" Evelyn A. (Rogers) Bates, 80, of Tavistock St., passed away September 5, 2007 in Mercy Medical Center. Born December 16, 1926, daughter of the late John and Florence (Rogers) Boncik. Evelyn has lived in Springfield since 1999 and previously resided in Largo, FL for over 30 years. She is survived by three children Janet Faulkins of Belchertown Robert Isaac of Springfield and Edward Isaac of Acushnet, MA. She also leaves a brother Bud Rogers of Belchertown, granddaughter Monica Kane of Wilbraham and two great granddaughters Hayley and Kylie Kane. Evelyn was predeceased by a son Kenneth Isaac and a brother Richard Rogers. A Graveside service will be Saturday at 11:15 a.m. in South Cemetery in Belchertown. A calling hour will be held on Saturday from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home. Donations may be made in her memory to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 20 Walnut St., Suite 318 Wellesley, MA 02481."
