Obituary of Jessica J. Gladu

" Jessica J. Gladu, 27, departed this life on September 1 at her home. Born in Lubbock, TX, December 18, 1979, she was the daughter of Daniel and Jacqueline (Nadeau) Gladu of S. Hadley. A graduate of Amherst Regional High School, she was furthering her education in the field of social work and therapy. Jessica has lived in Amherst since 1986 and was a personal care assistant for the Stavros agency for several years. Besides her parents, she will be deeply missed by her children Raina Gladu and Xheniya Knight, her fiance Vernal Clayton of Springfield along with her siblings Kimberly Ingram and her husband John of Amherst, Kevin Gladu and his wife Sara, Andrew Gladu, and Nathan Gladu all of Belchertown, Rebecca Gladu and her boyfriend Adam Bartlett of S. Hadley, and Joel Gladu of Northampton, and Angel and Tomas Wrotten of Lubbock, TX. She also leaves her birth mother Loretta Peterson of Amarillo, TX, her grandfathers Roger Nadeau of Chicopee, and John Watson, Sr. of Midland, TX, and many nieces and nephews. A service to celebrate her life will be Friday, September 7 at 10:00 a.m. at the Hope Community Church, Gaylord St., Amherst, followed by burial in Notre Dame Cemetery, S. Hadley. Calling hours will be Thursday, September 6 from 4 to 7 pm at the Beers & Story S. Hadley Funeral Home, 646 Newton St., (Rte. 116). For those wishing, the family requests that, in lieu of flowers, to please make donations for the benefit of a Trust Fund for the children c/o Easthampton Savings Bank, Granby Rd., S. Hadley."
