Obituary of Ida Mae Cutting

" Ida M. (LaRocque) Cutting, 88 of Federal St, died Wed. in Cooley Dickinson Hospital. Born in Millbury, May 11, 1913, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Angelina (Dagenais) LaRocque. She grew up in Agawam lived in Springfield for a time, and moved to Belchertown in 1949. Ida was a communicant of St. Francis Church and a charter member of its Catholic Women’s Club which was started in the late 1940s. She was formerly a Girl Scout leader and cared for many children in her home throughout her life. She had also waitressed at the Lord Jeffrey Inn in Amherst from 1950 into the 1960s. Her husband Herbert Cutting died in 1988. She is survived by her two daughters Shirley Bock of Belchertown, and Dianne Lynch of Easthampton, and her son Robert Cutting of Benicia, CA, as well as 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Calling hours will be Sunday afternoon from 2:00—4:00 p.m. at the Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home. Friends and family may gather at the funeral home on Monday by 9:00 a.m. and we will proceed to St. Francis Church for a mass which will begin at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
