Obituary of Janusz Kolosowski

"Springfield- Janusz “John” Kolosowski, 46, passed away August 19, 2007 at Tufts New England Medical Center after a gallant battle with cancer since 2005. Born May 17, 1961 in Poland, he was the son of the late Jan and Stefania (Niedzwiecka) Kolosowski. John was a life long resident of Springfield, graduating from Springfield Technicial High School and Springfield Community College. He worked for over 25 years as an electronic engineer at Electronic Coils Inc. in Westfield. John was an alumni at the Springfield Boys and Girls Club and continued his involvement with volunteering at the club. In his leisure, he enjoyed exploring new places along with fishing and the outdoors. John will be greatly missed by his wife of 7 years, Barbara (Cummings) along with his siblings Teresa Jancura of FL, Halina Gliniewicz of Wilbraham, Krystyna Sobel of Springfield, Stanley and Henry Kolosowski. He also leaves many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will begin Thursday at 9:00 a.m. from the Beers & Story S.Hadley Funeral Home, 646 Newton St. (Rte 116) followed by a Mass of Christian burial at St. Stanislaus Church in Chicopee at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation and pictorial video tribute will be Wednesday from 5:00-8:00 p.m. with a service of remembrance at 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
