Obituary of Charles Joseph Sibik

" Charles J. Sibik, 79, of Commercial St., in the Thorndike section of Palmer died Monday at home. Born in Wilbraham, July 10, 1922, he was the son of the late Jan and Mary (Gruska) Sibik. Mr. Sibik lived in Wilbraham until his marriage to Mary Wisnowski in 1950, when he moved to Thorndike. He was a communicant of St. Mary's Chuch in Thorndike. Mr. Sibik was the proprietor of the former Charlie's Variety Store on Commerical St. for 40 years before retiring in 1987. Beside his wife of 51 years, he leaves a son Charles and his wife Sara of Thorndike, and two grandchildren Beth and Ellen Sibik. A funeral service will be held Saturday at 9:00 a.m. from the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home, followed by a liturgy of Christian burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary's Church. Burial will follow in St. Anne's Cemetery.
