Obituary of Lois J. Tirrell

" Lois J. Tirrell, 82, of Palmer Rd. died Monday at Mary Lyon Nursing Home. Born in Palmer on August 15, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Herbert E. and Annie (Hopfe) Johnson. Lois was employed as a town clerk and treasurer in Monson. She retired in 1974 after 19 years. She was also a member of the First Church of Monson and its Heart Willing Club. Lois is survived by a son, Roger E. and his wife Judy of Monson, as well as a sister Pauline Hatch also of Monson. She also leaves two grandchildren, Scott Tirrell and Amy Creasia. A funeral service will be held on Saturday at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Oak Knoll Cemetery. A calling hour will precede theservice from 9-10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 2873, Springfield, MA 01101-2873"
