Obituary of Robert Adrian Rule

" Robert A. Rule, 70, of Bay Rd., died March 1, 2002 at Mercy Medical Center. Born in Holyoke, MA on Feb. 17, 1932, he was the son of the late William E. and Sylvia (Nolin) Rule. Robert has lived in the Belchertown area since 1959, living previously in Holyoke. He was a communicant of St. Francis Church as well as a Boy Scout Leader. In 1992, he retired from the Belchertown State School where he had worked for 27 years. Robert leaves his wife of 50 years, Theresa (Ducharme) and five children, Robert E. of Shutesbury, Jeannine LaBossiere of Belchertown, Linda Johnson of Amherst, Stephen and Timmothy both of Belchertown. He also leaves eight grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 9:15am from the Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home, followed by a mass of christian liturgy at 10:00am in St. Francis Church. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery in South Hadley. Calling hours are Monday from 2-4 & 7-9pm.
