Obituary of Edmond C. Tolzdorf

"Belchertown- Edmond C. Tolzdorf, 81, of Old Amherst Rd. passed away July 15, 2007 at home with his family by his side. Born November 18, 1925 in Ashuelot, NH, he was the son of the late Edward and Helen (Boliski) Tolzdorf. Edmond worked at Umass-Amherst for 11 years as a painter, and previously was employed as an independent contractor. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII and Korea. Ed enjoyed playing with his grandchildren and great granddaughter as well as fishing and his dog Pritiz. He was predeceased by his wife Doris Marietta (Britigan) in 1997 as well as his son, John. Edmond is survived by his children, Lynn Gaudreau of Belchertown, Edmond Jr. and his wife Jackie of Wendell, Theodore and his wife Debra of Belchertown, Peter of Belchertown, and Lisa Cadieux and her husband Andre of Thorndike along with 11 grandchildren, 2 step-granddaughters and 1 great grandchild. Visitation will be Thursday from 3:00-5:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home followed by burial in South Cemetery.
