Obituary of Ellen J. Tyler

" Ellen J. (Jepson) Tyler, 88, formerly of Beacon Drive, died Saturday in UMASS Memorial Medical Center in Worcester. Born in Belchertown, Jan. 26, 1914, she was the daughter of the late Dwight and Jennie (Bears) Jepson. Ellen was a graduate of Belchertown High School and was active in the Order of Eastern Star in Palmer and Belchertown. She has lived in Palmer since 1937. She worked for the former Durand Sisters and the former Grants department store, both in Palmer, from 1956 - 1969. Mrs. Tyler was a member of the Second Congregational Church in Palmer for many years. Ellen's husband, Warren died in 1982. She is survived by 2 sons, James of Northboro, and Curtis of Hartford, VT, as well as 3 daughters, Judith Sawyer of Okemos, Michigan, Marilyn Showers of Goose Creek, SC and Janice Tyler of Frisco, TX. She also leaves 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. All services are private and there are no calling hours. "
