Obituary of Robert E. Wright

" Robert E. Wright, 68, of Kendall St, died December 26. Born in Springfield, October 18, 1933, he grew up in Springfield and moved to Granby 45 years ago. He served with the Air Force during the Korean War and was a member of the American Legion In Granby, Chapter 11 Disabled American Veteran’s at Westover, and the Bear Hill Golden Agers DAV group out of Northampton. Mr. Wright worked as a supervisor at the former Graham Manufacturing in Holyoke for many years until 1979. He was a former active member of the Church of Christ in Granby and had served on its Board of Deacons. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Eileen (Dunton) Wright, 3 sons, Steven , Dennis and Kenneth and one daughter Sandra Wright Lebel all of the area, and a sister Mary McEwan of Hadley. He also leaves 3 grandaughters Candida Lesperence, Kimberly Wright and Amy Lebel, and 2 grandsons, Steven Wright, Jr, and Roger Lebel along with 2 great grandsons. A memorial service will be Sunday, January 6 at the BEERS & STORY BELCHERTOWN FUNERAL HOME, 10 Maple St. Burial will be private in the Mass. Veteran’s Cemetery, Agawam.
