Obituary of Chantel Rene Couch

"South Hadley - Chantel R. (Haas) Couch, 34, died on May 20, 2018 in Mercy Medical Center. Born on December 13, 1983 in Holyoke, MA, she was the daughter of Timothy Haas and wife Sheila of S.Hadley and Kimberly (Gajewski) Rivest and husband Tom of Holyoke. Chantel was a 2002 graduate of Chicopee High School and attended STCC and Porter and Chester Institute to become a medical assistant. Over the years she has worked at Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Agawam, Noble and Providence Hospitals and was currently employed at Mercy Medical Center where she worked as a cash application specialist. Channy loved music, dancing and the great outdoors, especially the beach. Beside her parents, who deeply grieve her loss, she will be greatly missed by her stepmother Sheila Haas and stepfather Tom Rivest, her grandmother Hazelmary Laferriere and husband Ronnie Laferriere of S.Hadley and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Chantel was preceded in death by her (maternal) grandparents Barbara and Stanley Gajewski and her (paternal) grandfather Robert Haas and his wife Yvonne. Calling hours will be Thursday, May 24, 2018, from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at the Beers & Story South Hadley Funeral Home, followed by a service in the funeral home at 7:00pm.
