Obituary of Owen R Blodgett

"South Hadley - Owen R. Blodgett, 86, passed away on April 29, 2019. Born February 8, 1933 in Montgomery, VT, son of Mahlon and Phyllis (Pudvah) Blodgett. Owen proudly served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. He was raised in Vermont and moved to South Hadley in 1967. He worked as a machinist for American Bosch and Worthington Pump Companies. In his leisure, he enjoyed camping in Rhode Island and puttering around fixing small engines. He also loved cats. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 62 years, Myrna (Ploof) Blodgett of S. Hadley, a son, Randy Blodgett of S. Hadley and grandson Anthony Blodgett of Irving, MA. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, a sister and his grandson Nicholas Blodgett. A Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 7th at 9:00 a.m. at the Mass. Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St. Agawam.
