Obituary of Irene M. Bishop

Palmer- Irene M. Bishop, 93, a long time resident of Palmer, passed away on January 30, 2020.  She was born on January 25, 1927 in Palmer to Peter and Eva Ditto.

Irene graduated from Palmer High School in 1944.  She was a member of St Thomas the Apostle church, Rosary  Sodality and Daughters of Isabella.

Irene was predeceased by her loving husband Robert B Bishop, siblings Catherine DuComb, Peter, Thomas and John Ditto.

She will be deeply missed by her children Kathleen (Carl), Robert (Laura), Nancy(Jeff), Ann, James (Annette), 8 grandchildren and 7 great grand children, sister-in-law Barbara Hooton (Leonard) and Teresa Ditto.

Irene was a devoted mother and caregiver of her twin brothers. Her greatest joy was having large family gatherings.  She also enjoyed traveling with her husband, gardening and bird watching.

A calling hour will be held on Monday February 3, 2020 from 9:30-10:30 am at Beers and Story Funeral Home in Palmer.  A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 am at St Thomas the Apostle Church, Palmer, with burial immediately following in St Thomas cemetery.
