Obituary of James (Jamie) L Pollard, Jr

Belchertown- James (Jamie) Lewis Pollard, Jr. passed away March 25, 2020.  Born February 15, 1970, he was the beloved son of James Pollard, Sr. and Nancy (Wilson) Pollard of Durham, North Carolina.  He was a person who cherished family and all his friendships.  He grew up in Durham, North Carolina and graduated from Charles E. Jordan High School, where he was a member of the high school chorus and played in the high school band.  Being extremely talented as a musician, Jamie sang, played various instruments and also DJ'd for many years.  His love of music has been inherited by his children who have begun to take after him with their individual participation in musical arts.  Along with his musical talents, Jamie was an avid reader with a particular interest in biographies and autobiographies of all of his favorite musicians as well as Stephen King novels.  In his younger years, he was a active in the Boyscouts and later became a volunteer firefighter for the Parkwood Fired Department in Durham, NC.  Jamie was an enthusiastic fan of the North Carolina Tarheels with his all-time favorite color being "Carolina Blue"!  He has lived in Belchertown, MA for 13 years.  In addition to his parents, his kind heart, silly and sometimes sarcastic sense of humor and warm smile, will be dearly missed by his wife, Rianne (Fitzgerald) Pollard, and their children: Isabella and Emmett.  Jamie will also be missed by his sister, Melissa Rowland and her children: Michael, Julia, Benjamin, and Andrew Rowland.  He will also be missed by his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Kevin and Susan Fitzgerald, his extended family, and the many friends whose lives he has touched.  A graveside service will be held at Quabbin Park Cemetery.  In consideration of everyone’s health and wellbeing, services will be private at this time.  Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
