Charlotte was quite the hot ticket at the Brimfield Senior Center. We are so sorry to hear of her loss. Charlotte was always quick to add her opinion, told wonderful stories of her life and would burst into song whenever the mood overtook her. She was well loved at the Center and has been missed since her move away from Brimfield. My condolences to her family.

To my dear, dear friend, Mrs. Hudson. We had over 26 years together. You helped me grow from a young mother into an adult. You shared so many stories of your life with me and each one was more interesting than the last. You grew up in an era that was filled with change and promise of new beginnings. You kept some of the ways you had learned to live from the great depression. I remember when we first started to wrap Christmas presents together, and I could not use any scotch tape, as you told me "that is not how it was done." We did them all up with ribbons! And they were beautiful! It was difficult for you to throw anything out as "You never know when you could use that!" And often times, we did make use of these items!!! Books and maps were your treasurers, along with your atlases that were kept within reach at all times. Many a day we would pull them up to your desk and find a particular town that you had read about in one of your books. If you did not know where it was, we would find it! Once in a while you would sit at the piano and play, and also sing. You so enjoyed this! Your house was built with such love and care, and designed knowing that you wanted to have both the desk and the piano in the living room with you. You were so proud of your house, and it served you well. I will also remember your love of your jewelry. You had different colored stones made into necklaces of all sorts. You always completed your outfit with the perfect necklace so that you could go out in public dressed as a lady should. When I think of you I see you sitting in your chair near the picture window, gazing into your yard, book in hand, with a cat in your lap. Your desk is nearby with your Atlases at hand. Your tea cup and saucer are holding your favorite tea.
You are happy. You are peaceful. I love you and will never forget you.
Your friend,
Sheila Hawk
To the family: I thank you for sharing your Mom with me all these years. She was a huge part of my life. I learned a lot from her! I will cherish my memories and take comfort in knowing that she lived a good, full life. She loved all of you and even though I did not see you often, I felt that I knew each and every one of you. She was so proud of her family! She will certainly be missed, but not forgotten.

Charlotte was a long time visitor at the Brimfield Senior Center. She was much loved for her wit and good humor. Charlotte was always willing to share wonderful stories about the rich life she lived. We have missed her since her move to Newton. Our condolences to her family.
