Obituary of Alfred H. Garrett

Alfred H. Garrett, Jr., 72, passed away after a brief illness on May 7 at Baystate Wing Hospital. Son of the late Alfred and Jane Clark Garrett, he was born in Springfield, MA on April 29, 1948. He worked at Riverside Park for many years as Maintenance Games Supervisor before joining Rocky’s in 2001 as a Shift Supervisor before retiring. He enjoyed NASCAR, hockey and puzzles.  Alfred will be missed by all who knew him, including his sons Eric Garrett and wife, Julia of West Springfield, MA and Robert Garrett and wife Briana of Chicopee, MA; his three grandchildren Robert II, Garred, and Hayden and his cat Jazzy; as well as many extended family members and friends. In addition to his parents, Alfred is predeceased  by his wife, Lynda C. (Granroos)  Garrett as well as his sister, Nancy  (Garrett) Forness and his fiancé Linda Mulvaney. Due to the current state of the restrictions on gatherings, a Celebration of Life will be held at a future date at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association, Donation Processing Center,  PO Box 11039, Lewiston, ME 04243-9409
